NIH Director Leads Scientific Team to North Africa

January 17, 2006 - Dr. Elias A. Zerhouni, Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), led a delegation of health and research experts from NIH to meet with government officials and scientists in Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco. The goal of the visit was to learn more about medical research in North Africa and plan for future cooperative activities.
