HHS Deputy Secretary Meets with the Minister of Health of the Republic of BulgariaMay 5, 2006 - The Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Honorable Alex M. Azar II met with the Honorable Radoslav Gaydarski, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria on issues of mutual interest and cooperation in health care. The Bulgarian Government is working with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and John Hopkins University (JHU) School of Public Health on healthcare modernization, and Minister Gaydarski was in the United States to attend a CSIS conference with the goal of exchanging ideas with experts from the United States and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe on how to implement change in the health sector in Bulgaria.
