HHS Delegation Heads to China for Fact-Finding Mission on Safety of Food, Feed, and Drugs

July 31, 2007 – The Chief of Staff of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Rich McKeown, is leading a delegation from HHS to Beijing, China, this week as part of a fact-finding mission.

Mr. McKeown's visit is the first step in discussions to develop two Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) between the U.S. Government and the Government of the People's Republic of China: one on the safety of food and feed, and the other on the safety of drugs and medical devices.
