Titled "A Strategy for the Global Fund: Accelerating the Effort to Save Lives," the document summarizes the strategic initiatives adopted by the Global Fund Board this year, based on the extensive work of its Policy and Strategy Committee. The United States is the largest single donor to the Global Fund; American taxpayers have contributed more than $2 billion to the Fund since its inception in 2001, or approximately 30 percent of all the resources the organization has raised.
