President Bush Cites U.S. Work Against HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and Other Pandemics in Address to the United Nations General Assembly

September 26, 2007 – In his address yesterday to the United Nations General Assembly, President Bush told the assembled world leaders, "Together, we’re preparing for pandemics that could cause death and suffering on a global scale." He went on to describe his Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and his international Malaria Initiative, as well as America's generosity in the fight against hunger.
