U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and Director of HHS Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Testify Before U.S. Senate

December 7, 2007 – The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions is holding a hearing on reauthorization of the United States Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Act, the legislation that underpins the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.  Ambassador Mark Dybul, M.D., the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, and Julie L. Gerberding, M.D., the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will both testify at the hearing.

 

Entitled "Meeting the Global Challenge of AIDS, TB and Malaria," the hearing will take place on Tuesday, December 11, at 10:30 a.m., in Room 430 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
